Hijama Cupping Therapy

Hijama Cupping Therapy is a minor Surgical procedure that is also known as wet cupping, bloodletting, cupping therapy.

At Escala Beauty in Bolton, we cater your treatment to your requirements and give you a full consultation, where we can answer any questions and concerns you may have. We also perform a patch test to make sure that everything will be okay, and to give you confidence that this treatment does not hurt in the slightest!

How does it work?

Cupping therapy is a mode of treatment in which cup are placed across reflex points across the body as the back and legs in order to treat localised congestion through negative pressure in which is done using a Hijama pump.

This stage follows blood to be drawn towards the surface of the skin, which in turn stimulates the muscles and fascia tissue and the internal organs.

Before Treatment

  • It should be performed on an empty stomach
    (fast 2 hours prior to Appointment)
  • Client should shower
  • Wear Loose Comfortable Clothing


We also suggest clients who are excessively hairy to shave/wax 48 hours prior to Cupping Therapy

What about the marks?

The marks left after cupping is nothing to worry about because they are painless. Depending on the patient and what they suffer from, some marks may be darker than others. However, this usually heals within 5-10 days

Dry Cupping – 10 cups hr you get massage 30mins then Cupping. £40.00

Dry Cupping – 12 cups 1hrs You will get Massage 30 mins then cupping cup. £45.00

Basic package – Wet (Hijama) cupping 30 mins £35.00

Premium Package Wet Cupping – 1.30 mins, Back neck Shoulder and leg massage, lymphatic drainage massage, then wet cupping. £60.00

Elite package – 2 hrs, Massage, lymphatic cupping drainage massage, infared light and wet cupping. £90.00

Aftercare (24-48 hours)

  • Drink plenty of water (Green tea is also an option) No Cheese or Red Meat
  • Avoid stimulants (coffee, alcohol, energy drinks) 24hrs
  • Apply oils to ease irritation (Black Seed, Olive oil are good
  • Relax, rest during first 24hrs of the treatment
  • Avoid heavy meals, avoid dairy products, processed meat, fish, fish oils for 24hrs
  • Get plenty of fresh air
  • Avoid direct heat to the area which you had Cupping therapy e.g sauna’s, sunbeams.
